Austria Salzburg, Austria

One of my favorite spots, looking for a place to seat and have a warm cup of coffee in Salzburg.

The Louvre;

The museum is located between the river Seine and the Rue de Rivoli. Construction on the original Palais du Louvre began in 1190 by Philip II, through time the structure became a fortress, prison, and residence.The structure has a lengthy history of renovation, the most recent being the Grand Louvre project, which included the Pyramid and the inverted pyramid completed in 1989 and 1993 and designed by american architect I.M. Pei
General admission to the Louvre costs 9 euros about $12.00 U.S. dollars (10/20/08) and you have other options to visit new exhibits for an additional cost.

Québec, Canada

Fountain in front of Bistro Le Brigantin on 97 rue du Sault-Au-Matelot, Québec.

Climate in Québec:
June, July, August, September and October are the only months of the year when the city is free of snow, Summer nights can be cool though.
Required Clothing:
Lightweights during summer, with warmer clothes sometimes necessary in the evenings. Mediumweights are worn during autumn and spring, with warm clothing for the cold winters.

Outdoor Shopping Center next to The Frontenac Hotel. A pedestrian alley full of good restaurants art galleries and souvenir shops. Restaurants are little expensive, prepare to spend 50 dollars lunch for two including a glass of wine. An interesting factor in Quebec is that people speak French although most speak English as a second language.

Another view from the courtyard and entry to the Hotel Frontenac

Overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River, Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is not merely a hotel located in the heart of Old Québec - it is the heart of Old Québec.
In the late 19th century, William Van Horne, General Manager of Canadian Pacific (CP) Railway, began building the hotel as the ideal stopover for CP travelers.

Countless personalities have graced Fairmont Le Château Frontenac with their presence, including King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, Princess Grace of Monaco, Chiang-Kai-Shek, Charles de Gaulle, Ronald Reagan, François Mitterrand, Prince Andrew, Lady Sarah Ferguson, Charles Lindberg, Alfred Hitchcock and Montgomery Clift. In 1944, Fairmont Le Château Frontenac became the action center of the Quebec Conferences of World War II, which involved U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King.
